Responsibilities
This position is on the IgniteNet Cloud Controller team. The Cloud is used by our customers to manage and configure large numbers of Wi-Fi access points, outdoor 60 GHz APs, and network switches. We perform code reviews, automated testing and also embrace modern DevOps practices to deliver value to our customers. You must be willing to communicate efficiently and help us train new team members as we bring them on.

You will be responsible for:

  • Maintaining the backend services that power our platform
  • Code delivery procedures and deployment automation
  • Monitoring metrics, analyzing logs and reacting to critical events
  • Helping us to design a robust architecture by recognizing bottlenecks before they become a problem
  • Helping the team with web development tasks (node.js, javascript, PHP, etc) during periods in which there are not any outstanding devops/sysadmin related tasks.

Required Skills
  • Experience using Ansible, Chef, Puppet or similar automation tools
  • Experience managing Linux-based systems
  • Must have programming and scripting skills
  • Must have a solid understanding of basic networking principles
  • Experience managing relational databases

Technology
We maintain a vast Service Oriented Architecture and deploy our code weekly. Our ideal candidate should be accustomed to fast paced development cycle and not intimidated by the zoo-keeping of various microservices. Our core technologies are based, though not limited to: Cassandra, Apache Kafka, PostgreSQL, node.js, PHP, Ansible, Redis, Google Compute Engine, and Jenkins. And while we recognize that it’s improbable to know all of these, having a prior exposure to similar tech is a bonus when applying to this position.

Education: Must have a BS in Computer Science (or a related field) or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for multiple tiers of pre/post-sales technical support for the entire product suite.
  • Daily activities will involve trouble ticket analysis/replication/resolution, internal HW/SW testing, KB article generation, breaking things and then fixing them.
  • Must be willing to communicate daily with our global team using various chat tools (Skype, Slack, etc..)

Required Skills
  • Must be motivated, driven, and able to perform efficiently from a remote office.
  • Must have experience performing technical support for both technical and non-technical customers.
  • Must possess excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Must be familiar with Linux-based systems and tools.
  • Must possess at least intermediate IP networking skills.
  • International travel is available if desired.

Education: Must have a BS in a technical field or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for architecting new features and finding solutions to complex problems in the embedded firmware that runs on our MetroLinq products.

Required Skills
  • Must have a deep understanding of the Linux networking stack
  • Must have extensive experience developing on Linux-based embedded wireless platforms, including experience working with cross compliers (Experience with OpenWRT is a plus)
  • Must have experience debugging and implementing new features in device and 802.11 wireless drivers
  • Must be willing to communicate daily with our global team using various chat tools (Skype, Slack, etc..)
  • Must be willing to manage and train other embedded engineers

Education: Must have a BS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for helping us continue to develop new features and fix bugs in the firmware that runs our Wi-fi and MetroLinq platforms.

Required Skills
  • Must have a deep understanding of the Linux networking stack
  • Must have experience developing (C, C++, shell) on Linux-based embedded 802.11 wireless platforms, including experience working with cross compliers
  • Must be willing to communicate daily with our global team using various chat tools (Skype, Slack, etc..)
  • Must have some experience working with Lua (or willing to learn!)

Education: Must have a BS in a technical field or equivalent experience
